Ruth D. Harrison
Ruth Davis Harrison, 95, of Gaffney died Sunday night, Jan. 14, 2001, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Born in Spartanburg County, she was the widow of E.C. "Boone" Harrison and daughter of the late Jermon and Janie Loftis Davis. She was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church and was associated with E.C. Oil and Coal Co. of Gaffney.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, J.D. and Evelyn Cooper Harrison and Roy and Jean Harrison, all of Gaffney; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia H. and Ray Wellmon of Gaffney; a brother, Roy D. Davis Sr. of Gaffney; a sister, Margueriete Robinson of Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Michelle Harrison Botelho, Julian Harrison and Dr. Bruce Wellmon, all of Gaffney; four great-grandchildren, Ebbie Addis Dover, Jennifer Addis, Rebeka Wellmon and Eva Wellmon, all of Gaffney; and one great-great-grandchild, Megan Beason of Gaffney.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Frank Northcutt, Clarence Hampton and Clyde Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens in Blacksburg. Body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Wilson Truluck, Keith Harrison, Jack Phillips, Terry Addis, Lemuel Grubb and Jimmy Owens.
The family will be at the home of Virginia Harrison Wellmon, 131 Saxon Dr., Gaffney
Memorials may be made to Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church, Lottie Moon Fund or Vehicle Fund, 805 Cherokee Ave., Gaffney, S. C. 29340.
White Columns-Gaffney is in charge of arrangements.

Vincent Kise
BLACKSBURG – Vincent C. Kise, 63, of 124 Quinn Rd., died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center. He was a native of Blairstown, N.J.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Martin of Blacksburg and Nancy Phillips of Gaffney; a brother, Tink Kise of Florida; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Clingman Memorial Gardens with Dr. Charlie Barnard officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-8 p.m. at White Columns-Blacksburg and other times will be at the home.

Woodrow W. Cook
OAK RIDGE, TN. – Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Cook, 86, formerly of Gaffney, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge.
Surviving are two nieces, Anita Hammett and Marky Leisure, both of Gaffney.
A graveside services will be held today at Frederick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, 1101 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN. 37830.
