Bishop Mark Grant
Native of West Indies
Bishop Mark Grant of 114 Furnace Mill Rd. died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001.
Mr. Grant was born on May 27, 1928, in Hanover, West Indies. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Grant; a son, Carlton McGhee of Bronx, N.Y.; mother, Gertrude Foster of Uniondale, N.Y.; three brothers, Kenford Foster of Parkland, Fla., Roderick Foster of Woolverhampton, England and Dr. Hiriam Foster of Jamaica, West Indies; an uncle, two aunts, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. at Living Church, 4920 E. Harris blvd., Charlotte, N.C.

Carleather Dover
Retired from Magnolia Finishing Company
Carleather Dover, 63, of 127 Iris Lane, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at 5:26 p.m. in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of Rosezella Jefferies Dover of the home and the late Charles Dover. She was a member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Usher Board, kitchen committee and Senior Missionary and was a past president of the Y.W.A. She was a retired trainer instructor and supervisor at Magnolia Finishing Company.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a son, Donald Dover Sr. of Gaffney; a daughter, Schuyler D. Lindsay of Gaffney; two brothers, Clarence Dover and Clint Dover of Spartanburg; and a sister, Elizabeth Jefferies of Gaffney.
Arrangements are incomplete. Foster Funeral Home is in charge.

Lorene Garner Morris
Homemaker
Lorene Garner Morris, 80, of 395 Morris Dr., died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at her residence.
A native of Little Rock, Ark., she was the widow of James D. Morris Sr. and the daughter of the late William and Mary Motts Garner. She was a homemaker and member of Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, James D. Morris Jr., William Morris and David Wayne Morris, all of Gaffney; two daughters, Pat Hamrick and Shirley McGhee, both of Gaffney; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shuford-Hatcher Chapel conducted by the Rev. Bobby Cable. Burial will be in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends Friday from 7-8 p.m. at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home.
