Willie L. McKissick
Retired from Milliken Inc.
JONESVILLE – Willie Louis McKissick, 74, of 445 Tump Smith Rd., died Monday, March 26, 2001, in Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union.
Born June 19, 1926, in Jonesville, he was the widower of Mary Belle Parham McKissick and son of the late Lawerence McKissick and the late Cristana Free McKissick. He was raised in the home of the Rev. Ophelia McKissick. He was a member of Mark Hill Baptist Church where he was chairman of the deacon board, a past Sunday School superintendent and choir member. He was retired from Milliken & Co. Inc.’s Monarch Plant.
Surviving are two sons, Darrell L. McKissick of Jonesville and Reuben McKissick of Spartanburg; three daughters, Cristanna McKissick, Cynthia M. Harris and Sallie Mae McKissick, all of the home; three brothers, Rev. Warren McKissick of Charlotte, David Goudelock of Gaffney and John Goudelock of New York; a sister, Lillie Kelly of Gaffney; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Mark Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. T.J. Jackson Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and flower bearers.
Viewing will be today from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at Union Community Funeral Home, 219 W. Main St., Union.

Charles R. Bland
Retired from Community Cash
CHESNEE – Charles Reid Bland, 67, of 5730 Henderson Hill Rd., died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, in Mary Black Memorial Hospital.
Born in Ellenboro, N.C., he was the husband of Sarah Bell Bland and son of the late Claude Bland and the late Mary Lawson Bland. He was a former grocery store owner in Florida and was retired from Community Cash. He attended University of South Carolina and attended Chesnee Wesleyan Church.
Also surviving are three daughters, Helen Gardner of Chesnee, Barbara West and Ann Easler, both of Cowpens; four sons, Barry Bland of Spartanburg, Wayne Bland of Birmingham, Ala., Donnie Bland and Jimmy Bland, both of the home; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Chesnee Wesleyan Church conducted by the Revs. Dan L. Belcher and Todd Gossett. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy McCutcheon, Lyvonne Pritchard and Willard Cudd.
The family will receive friends Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. Other times they will be at their respective homes.
Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lillie Mae Littlejohn
Services for Lillie Mae Littlejohn, 73, of 302 Sarratt St., widow of Tracey W. Littlejohn Sr., will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Arthur J. Smith, Clarence Davis, Roderick Oglesby and Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Gaffney Memorial Park. Body will be placed in the church Friday at 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends at 2:30.
Pallbearers will be David Graham, Lathier Graham, the Board of Deacons and members of the Limestone All Male Chorus.
Flower bearers will be Jacqulyn P. Graham, Nellie Sarratt, Elsie McCluney, members of the Board of Deaconess and Missionary Society.
Foster Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
