Herbert T. Gault
Retired from Postal Service
Herbert Troy Gault, 75, of 134 Anthony St., died Thursday, May 17, 2001 at 1:20 a.m. in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Born in Union on May 24, 1925, Mr. Gault was a son of the late Haskell and Maggie Gallman Gault. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Gaffney. He was a Methodist.
Surviving are a son, Edward Gault of Gaffney; a daughter, Ramona Gault of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Anna G. Harris of Union and Agnes G. Horton of Columbia; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gallman family cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following services Saturday.
The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home, Union, is in charge of arrangements.

Mahalia T. Kilgore
Services for Mahalia Thompson Kilgore, 77, formerly of Blacksburg, will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church with the Rev. Les Howard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 4 p.m.
The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jeter Sr., 1715 E. Frederick St., and will receive friends tonight from 7-8 at Galilee Baptist Church.

James W. Carson
Retired from Piedmont Gas
James Willie Carson, 67, of Littlejohn Street died Friday, May 11, 2001, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Polkville, N.C., he was the son of the late Lee Carson and the late Myrtle Withrow Carson.
Mr. Carson was a member of Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church in Polkville and was a disabled retiree of Piedmont United Gas Co. of Gaffney. He was the widower of Marie Byers Carson.
Surviving are a brother, Eugene Carson, of Winston-Salem, N.C.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Foster Funeral Home.

Lance N. Thompson
Services for Lance Nigel Thompson, 33, of Las Cruces, N.M., will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Youngs Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
The family is at the home of Horace Thompson, 110 Seven Springs Rd., Blacksburg.
