Junior Fowler
SPARTANBURG - Junior Herbert Fowler, 63, of 187 Old Howard Gap Rd., died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at his home.
A native of Spartanburg, he was the husband of Crystal Gayle Love Fowler of the home and son of the late Claude and Charlotte Ledbetter Fowler. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
Also surviving are one daughter, Teressa McFarlane of Inman; three sons, Monte Herbert Fowler of Wellford, Paul Fowler and Daniel Fowler of Inman; one brother, Leon Fowler of Spartanburg; five sisters, Estelle Hooks of Spartanburg, Jeanette Allison and Lucille Jennings of Roebuck, Inez Wyatt and Joyce Cooper of Spartanburg; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel with the Revs. Ray Allison and Ray Stuart officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the residence.
Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel is in charge.

Ruth Morris
Gladys Ruth Morris, 74, of 1434 N. Limestone St., died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Mason R. Morris Sr. and the late Edith Mae Gallman Morris. She was a retired textile employee, member of Beaverdam Baptist Church and a graduate of Great Falls High School.
Survivors include one brother, Mason R. Morris Jr. of Gaffney; one sisters, Frances Mae Price of Great Falls; three nieces, four nephews; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Cable officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:30-1:3 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at their respectives homes.
Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge.

Rodney Brown
ELLENBORO - Rodney James Brown, 55, of 176 Gunn Road died Tuesday, May 22, in Mary Black Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Brown was a native of Tasmania, Australia and son of the late Samuel Neil Brown and Billie Nada Jane Greenwood of Tasmania, Australia.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Padgett Brown of the home; one son, Philip Brown of Melbourne, Australia; one daughter, Rachel Rickards of Hobart, Tasmania Australia; and one brother, Robert Brown of Tasmania, Australia.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 24 at Ellenboro Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. with Rev. Bill Troutman officiating.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Rutherford County.

Theodore Rainey Hopper, Jr.
Theodore Rainey Hopper, Jr., 47, of 505 Cherokee Ave., husband of Frances Rainey of Hickory, N.C., died Monday at 10:40 p.m. on East Junior High School Road.
A native of Gaffney, Mr. Hopper was the son of Janie Mae Rainey Hopper of Hickory, N.C. and the late Theodore Hopper, Sr. He was also known as "Tookie."
He was employed at Gaffney Lumber Company and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Keatine Littlejohn and Demetrice Littlejohn of Gaffney; one sister, Linda Kay Hopper of Gaffney; three brothers, James Hopper of Blacksburg, Charles Hopper and Ricky Gene Hopper of Gaffney; two step-brothers, Jesse James Davis and Rev. Clarence Davis of Gaffney; and two grandchildren.
Foster Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
