Renee S. Schoolcraft
Spartanburg County native
Carol Renee Solesbee Schoolcraft, 52, of 126 Warrior Dr., died Monday, July 16, 2001, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Billie Jean Shropshire Solesbee.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Daniel Schoolcraft of the home; three daughters, Amanda Ruppe of Gaffney, Melissa J. Woolen of Inman and Leigh Walker of Columbus, Miss.; a son, Todd A. Chapman of Boiling Springs; a step-daughter, Kelly Morris of Inman; two step-sons, Mark Schoolcraft of Inman and Steve Schoolcraft of Orville, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Greene of Gaffney and Julie Howell of Fingerville; two brothers, Randy Solesbee of Gaffney and Tommy Solesbee of Florida; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Good Shepherd Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Jerry Clevenger.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Melissa Woolen, 116 Roundstone Dr., Inman.
Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Lillie M. Woods
Services for Lillie Mae “Moody” Woods, 75, of 100 Clary St., widow of Horace Woods, will be held today at 3 p.m. at Indian Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Mary D. Jefferies, J.W. Richards, Randy Borders, Anitonette Gardner and Roger Mason officiating, Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m.
Foster Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

James R. Elliott
Services for Deacon James R. Elliott, 83, of Brook Hollow Road, Earl, N.C., widower of Lizzie Leila Elliott, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Youngs Grove Baptist Church in Blacksburg with the Rev. Larry J. Brooks, Elder Eddie Lockhart, Bishop David Dunlap and the Rev. James Young officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7- 8 p.m. at Youngs Grove Baptist Church and is at the home of his nephew and niece, Oscar and Roberta Elliott, 506 Marietta St., Gastonia, N.C.
Foster Funeral Home, Gaffney, is in charge of arrangements.

Eunice P. Stevens
Services for Eunice P. Stevens, 74, of Brookview Healthcare Center, widow of Rev. Roy Stevens, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr., Dr. James W. Sanders Jr., the Rev. F.J. Means, Evangelist LaQuanda Brannon and the Rev. Lawrence Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at noon.
Pallbearers will be Tyson Willis, Jeron Davidson, E.G. Logan, Allan Dowdle, Harold Littlejohn, Cornell Dawkins, Jones Adams and Kerry Fowler.
Flower bearers will be Lula Johnson, Vernell Hogue, Sarah Edwards, Earnestine Means, Mary Williams, Annie L. Bears, Cordella Knuckles and Luegene Littlejohn.
The family is at the home of her niece, Mary Douglas, 117 Iris Lane.

Mary P. Brockington
Native of Darlington
BLACKSBURG – Mary Powers Brockington, 81, of 135 Brindle St., Cherokee Falls Community, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
A native of Darlington, she was the widow of George B. Brockington and was first married to the late Olin Douglas. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Beulah Matthews Powers.
Surviving are three sons, Russell C. Douglas, Johnny Brockington, both of Blacksburg, and Olin Powers of Kings Mountain; four step-sons, Benjamin Brockington and H.S. Brockington, both of Greensboro, N.C., Billy Brockington of Gaffney and Willard Brockington of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; four daughters, Mary W. Pearson of Deltona, Fla., Retha Hinman of Goose Creek,Willier Lee Taylor and Connie Bell, both of the Cherokee Falls Community; a step-daughter, Olive Ann Brockington of Greensboro; two brothers, Latson Evans Powers of Hemmingway and William E. Powers of Smyrna; 28 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-7:30 p.m. at White Columns and other times will be at the home.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Clingman Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lucky Earls officiating.
