James Frazier
Retired plant manager
James Marshall Frazier, 68, of 128 Granite Drive, died Monday, Oct. 22 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired plant manager at Metromont in Blacksburg, where he was employed for over 30 years, a member of GWRRA Motorcycle Association, and a member of the Baptist faith.
A native of Rutherford County, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Foster Frazier; and his parents, Fred Frazier and Sallie Lee Mode Landress.
Surviving are a daughter, Dianne Loving, of Gaffney; a son, Gary Frazier, Sr., of Gaffney; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Frazier, of Spartanburg; a sister, Juanita Spencer, of Gaffney; a half-brother; Ronnie Frazier, of Fort Mill; and a half-sister, Frankie Pitmon, of Rock Hill.
Services were held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church, with Rev. Bobby Cable presiding. Pallbearers were Mickey Allison, David Hambright, Dumpy Frazier, Wayne McCraw, Charles Dawkins, Troy Hogue, Darrin Brown and Chris Watkins. Honorary pallbearers were members of the GWRRA Motorcycle Association.

Joseph Gaino
Textile worker
Joseph Gaino, Sr., 84, of Naples, Fla., died on Thursday, Oct. 18 in Naples Community Hospital.
He graduated from Philadelphia Institute of Textiles in Philadelphia, Pa., and spent his life working in the textile industry.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Gaino and a grandson, Joseph P. Gaino, III, of Gaffney, he was born in Wilmington, Del.
Surviving are his wife, Olga Piunti Gaino, of Edenton, N.C.; three daughters, Gloria G. Willis and Joyce G. Jones of Edenton, Janet Lee Gaino of Wilmington, N.C.; three sons, Joseph P. Jr., of Gaffney, James B. of Greenville and William F. of Ware Shoals; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 20 in the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home in Edenton, with Revs. Terry Jones and Robert C. McSwain officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, Cherokee County Chapter, P.O. Box 566, Gaffney, S.C. 29340.

Wilbur Lecroy
Owner of DF Lecroy Radiator Shop
Wilbur Lecroy, 80, of 910 South Charleston Street in Blacksburg, died Monday, Oct. 22 at the veterans’ hospital.
He was the owner and operator of DF Lecroy Radiator Shop and a member of Nazareth Baptist Church.
A native of Anderson, he was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Effie Lecroy.
Surviving are his wife, Dollie Runyans Lecroy, of the home; a son, Mitchel Lecroy, of Blacksburg, two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mountainview Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Clayton presiding.

Don McCraw
Donald Kent “Don” McCraw, 69, of 963 E. Black Street. in Gaffney died Monday, Oct. 22 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
He was a retired Security Officer with the River Hills Community and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. A member of the Frank Roach American Legion Post 34 in Rock Hill, the York County Hejaz Club and a 32nd degree Mason in A.F.M. Masonic Lodge #385,
He was also a member of Northside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Beedie Hawkins McCraw.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Roach McCraw of the home; two sons, Geoffrey Reid McCraw and Anthony Knox “Tony” McCraw, both of Rock Hill; two brothers, George Arthur McCraw of Rock Hill and Bonner Ray McCraw of Kernsville, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
Masonic rites will be at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday before visitation.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Park with Dr. Jerry Sosebee officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, and at other times at the home of his son, Tony McCraw, at 747 Greenbriar Ave. in Rock Hill.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, 950 W. Faris Ave., Greenville, S.C. 29605.

Bessie Dover
CLOVER - Bessie Dover, 84, of 125 Endsgate Road died Monday, Oct. 22 at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill.
A native of York County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Dover and the late Mammie Peterson Dover.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God faith.
Surviving are a sister, Susie Weaver of Clover and a brother, Finley Dover of Hickory Grove.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church cemetery conducted by the Rev. James May.
The family is at 125 Endsgate Road in Clover.

Emma Pierce
Services for Emma Whiten Pierce, 93, of 503 Marietta St. will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Revs. Joe Paul Turner and James Humphries will conduct the services.
The family is at the home.
