Bessie P. Wofford
Retired textile employee
Bessie Elizabeth Peeler Wofford, 88, of 483 Wofford Rd., died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, in Mary Black Memorial Hospital.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Billy Wofford and daughter of the late Johnny Anthony Peeler and the late Fanny Amanda Bratton Peeler. She was a retired textile employee and member of Abingdon Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Alice Ledford of Union, Clara Howard and Lillian Stroupe, both of Gaffney; a sister, Grace Peeler of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are incomplete. Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge.

John K. Bonds Jr.
Former electrician
John K. Bonds Jr., 50, of 305 Draytonville Rd., died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late John Keefer Bonds Sr. and the late Mildred Lorene Dover Bonds. He was a former electrician.
Surviving are a son, Chris Bonds of Spartanburg; a brother, Dwight Dover of Gaffney; and two sisters, Candace Price and Sheila Hughes, both of Gaffney.
Arrangements are incomplete. Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge.
