Buster Lowe
Retired from Epting Ballenger Company
COWPENS – Buster Lowe, 69, of 167 Crenshaw Rd., died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was the husband of Margaret Crocker Lowe and a son of the late Cullen and Ruby Cash Lowe. He was a retired employee of Epting Ballenger Company and was a member of Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Kay L. Edmunds of Chesapeake, Va,, and Jackie L. Pemberton of Chester; four sons, Roger Bradley of Converse, Marion N. Lowe Jr. of Columbia, Jack W. Lowe of Monks Corner, Brantley E. Lowe of Jacksonville, Fla.; five sisters, Betty Gentry of Gaffney, Veronia Gentry, Linda Cole, Brenda Frady and Marjorie Parris, all of Cowpens; five brothers, Ronnie Lowe of Boiling Springs, Donnie Lowe of Mayo, Ted Lowe, Kenneth Lowe and Howard Lowe, all of Cowpens; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church, conducted Rev. Preston Edmonds. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Eggers Funeral Home in Chesnee.
Memorials may be made to Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Spartanburg, S.C. 29302; or to Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church, Building Fund, 235 Graham Chapel Rd., Cowpens, S.C. 29330.
The family is at the residence.

Lula S. Findley
Cleveland County native
GREENVILLE – Lula Virginia Sparrow Findley, 83, of 620 Century Blvd., died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at Westside Health Care Center.
A native of Cleveland County, N.C., she was the daughter of Sara Katherine Williams Sparrow. She was a homemaker and sat with the elderly.
She was preceded in death by Brenda Sprouse.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes.

Shadrack Houey Jr.
Retired from Monsanto
Shadrack Houey Jr., 66, of 347 Estelle Rd., husband of Sallie Lou Byers Houey, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at 12:02 p.m. in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Son of the late Shadrack Houey Sr. and the late Gertrude Watts Houey, he was a native of Cherokee County and a member of Concord Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and member of the All Male Chorus and Senior Choir. He was retired from Monsanto.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Sylvia Hagan of Gaffney; two sons, Vincent Keith Houey of Gaffney and Jarvis Laurice Houey of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, James Houey of Gaffney and McArthur Houey of Columbia; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael A. Bridges. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.

Fred Ross
Gaffney native
Fred Ross, 84, of 1017 High St., Pittsburgh, Pa., widower of Ocie Ross, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at his residence.
A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late John Ross and the late Mabel Simmons Ross. He was retired from Pittsburgh Steel.
He is survived by one aunt, Minnie Littlejohn, of Gaffney.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Odell Robinson, 2025 Perrysville Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa., 15214.
