Debra B. Phillips

Debra Barnes Phillips, 48, of 158 Hayes Rd., died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at her residence.
A native of Caroleen, N.C., she was the wife of Dennis E. Phillips of the home and daughter of Bobby Barnes and Reba Martin Barnes of Mooresboro, N.C. She was a clerk at Duke Power Cliffside Plant and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She was a 1973 graduate of Crest Senior High School in Shelby.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are a son, Tim E. Phillips of Gaffney; one grandchild; and two sisters, Barbara Golden of Charleston and Lisa Moore of Columbia.
Services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Rick Taylor and Fae Walker. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2:30.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Petty, Donnie Barnes, Dennis Barnes, Perry Steele, Mike Price, Mike Clary, Frank Giles and Lee Gardner.
The family is at the residence.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cherokee County Unit, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, S.C. 29615.

Betty A. Reid
Retired custodian from Ewing Middle School
Betty Ardebilia Reid, 66, of 269 Beltline Rd., Apt. 7-B, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at 5:37 p.m. at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Daughter of the late Robert Reid and the late Mable Littlejohn Reid, she was a native of Cherokee County and a member of Galilee Baptist Church. She was a retired custodian from Ewing Middle School.
Surviving are two sons, Gregory Joseph Reid of Gaffney and Vincente Reid of New York City.
Arrangements are incomplete. Foster Funeral Home is in charge.

Benjamin A. Price
Retired from Timken
COWPENS – Benjamin Allen Price, 66, of 163 Wallace Rd., died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cowpens, he was the husband of Wilma Joan Whelchel Price and son of the late Benjamin Jefferson Price and the late Estelle Louise Turner Price. He was a retired machinist for The Timken Company and was a member of High Point Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Gregory Allen Price of Pacolet and Kevin Ron Price of Cowpens; a brother, Eugene Price of Washington State; a half-brother, Carl Bonner of Drayton; a sister, Madora Holder of Spartanburg; and two grandchildren.
The family is at the home of a son, Kevin Price, 114 Waters Rd., Cowpens.
