Paul E. Peterson Jr.
CHESTER – Paul Edward Peterson Jr., infant son of Paul Edward Peterson Sr. and Cortney Gaffney Peterson of 755 Langley Drive, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in Piedmont Medical Center.
Surviving in addition to his parents are maternal grandparents, Ralph and Deborah Gaffney of Rock Hill; maternal great-grandmothers, Patsy Nabors of Grey Court and Elsie Elkins of Rock Hill; and paternal grandparents, Steven and Sandra Peterson of Gaffney.
Services will be private.

Clarence Dawkins
Gaffney native
Clarence William Dawkins, 53, of 111 Park Place, Brooklyn, N.Y., died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, in Presbyterian Hospital, New York City.
Born in Gaffney, he was a son of Rose A. Dawkins of New York City and was raised by his grandparents Grady and Flora (Sister) Dawkins Watkins. He was a member of Suck Creek Baptist church.
Also surviving are his wife, June Dawkins of the home; two sons, Tyrone Dawkins and Terrence Dawkins, both of Chesnee; a daughter, Tracy Dunn of Chesnee; three brothers, Calvin Dawkins of Forest City, N.C., Grady Dawkins and Johnny Ray Dawkins, both of Gaffney; two sisters, Lucy Littlejohn of Gaffney and I.V. Dawkins of New York City; and nine grandchildren.
The family is at the home of Johnny Ray Dawkins, 708 Stateline Road, Gaffney.
Arrangements are incomplete. The Gilmore Mortuary is in charge.

James B. Littlejohn
Services for James Brodus Littlejohn, 63, of 409 East Junior High Road, Apt. 96, will be held today at 1 p.m. at Indian Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mary E. Jefferies. Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at noon.
Pallbearers and flower bearers will be his nephews and nieces, respectively.
The family is at 127 Pineville Road in the Northgate Community.

Lyman H. Pennington
Brother of Gaffney resident
Lyman Hall Pennington, 74, a resident of Jackson County, Fla., for the past 15 years, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at a local hospital.
A Mason, Mr. Pennington was a member of Scottish Rites and Cypress Creek Community Church.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Pennington of Marianna, Fla.; a son, Robert Pennington of Cottondale, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Scott of Asheville, N.C., and Janet Carnley of Cottondale; a brother, James Pennington of Gaffney; and four grandchildren.
Memorials services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Cypress Creek Community Church in Alford, Fla., with Pastor James Vickery officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family will receive expressions of sympathy and memories of Mr. Pennington at 4433 Orchard Point Drive, Apt. 3-D, Marianna, Fla. 32448.
