While the superintendent search is over, black community leaders have not given up their quest to find out why acting superintendent Dr. Carlotta Redish was not named a finalist.

Hospital program recognized

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) education recognition certificate for a quality diabetes selfmanagement education program was recently awarded to Upstate Carolina Medical Center’s program on Jan. 24. The diabetes education program at the hospital has been recognized by the ADA since 2005.
