n Al Anon meets every Thursday from 8-9 p.m. at Limestone Presbyterian Church (use side entrance). If a friend or loved one has a problem with alcohol, these meetings can help you.

n Alcoholics Anonymous meets Mondays and Thursdays at Limestone Presbyterian Church and Tuesdays at Limestone Methodist Church. All meetings begin at 8 p.m.

n Do you think you have a problem with drugs? If so, Narcotics Anonymous can help. NCAA’s Helpline number is 1-800-828-5689.

Special events

n The Blacksburg Public Library will have special story hours for preschool age children each week during December. The theme for the month is “The Magic of Christmas” and each story time will focus on a different Christmas story. After the program, there will be time for the children to make a fun holiday craft and enjoy refreshments. The dates for the story hours are December 1, 8, 22 and 29.
