57th Tiny Tot Parade is planned for May 25

The Gaffney Business and Processional Women’s Club will host its 57th annual Tiny Tot Parade on Saturday, May 24, at 7 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.

A Gaffney tradition since 1947, the BPW Tiny Tot Parade is a favorite of local children while encouraging participate of family, friends and local sponsors in a delightful scholarship-raising activity.

This year’s event is expected to have one of the largest registrations ever and will be hosted by area radio personality Knox Blanton of WAGI-FM who will serve as the evening master of ceremonies.

The Tiny Tot Parade is open to children between the ages of 0 to 6 years with the crowning of a Tiny Tot Prince and Princess for children between the ages of 0 to 3 years and a Tiny Tot King and Queen for children between the ages of 1 to 6 years. Winners are determined by the number of votes received from family, friends and sponsors at the cost of one penny per vote. Proceeds will be used to fund scholarships available to local high school seniors seeking to continue their education following high school graduation.

For registration information, call 489-1578 or 490-2093. If there is no answer, leave a message with your name, phone number and address.
