Prentice Dewberry had 23 points and Ricky Proctor added 16 to help the Gaffney Middle Chiefs to a 59-44 victory over Ewing in the Little 6 Conference tournament on Tuesday.

Christian Munsterman and Jerquel Tate played well defensively for the winners.

Landrum topples

Lady Wildcats

Landrum outscored the Lady Wildcats 15-8 in the second quarter en route to a 46-29 victory on Tuesday.

Sharika Parker had nine points to pace Blacksburg, which will qualify for the playoffs by beating Southside Christian on Thursday and with a Jonesville loss.

The Lady Wildcats enter Thursday’s regular-season finale with a 3-6 region mark.
