SPARTANBURG – Dr. Edward (Ned) Hallowell will present a day of training for parents, educators and behavioral health professionals on Attention Deficient Disorder (ADD) on Saturday, March 5, at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Dr. Hallowell is a noted psychiatrist who suffers from ADD himself and has written the best selling book, Driven to Distraction , focusing on the importance of an accurate diagnosis and finding the best treatment option for the individual. His latest book, Delivered from Distraction , was just released and will be available for purchase at the seminar.

Founded by Dr. Hallowell, The Hallowell Center in Boston, Mass., specializes in treating children and adults with ADD and Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder. In addition to his work with the Hallowell Center, he has appeared on numerous television shows, including “Oprah.”
