What’s Up
School events n Granard Middle School will have an Elective Extravaganza and pancake supper on March 3. Supper will be served from 5-7 p.m. Plates are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Tickets are on sale in the school’s office. n Students and parents are invited to attend an Advanced Placement meeting Tuesday, March 1, from 5:30-6:30 pm. in the Lecture Hall at Gaffney High School.
Community events n The Greater Gaffney Ministerial Association is sponsoring Community Lenten Services from noon to 12:30 p.m. on each Wednesday in Lent at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Baker Boulevard. The message Wednesday, March 2, by Dr. Craig Kubias, associate professor of religion and philosophy and chaplain at Limestone College, will be “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me.” Dr. Kubias will also be singing an original composition, “A Lonely Place Apart.” The 30-minute service will be followed by a light lunch with donations accepted.
