Cherokee County Metro Narcotics Agents arrested four people in two separate incidents last week.

Agent Kevin Wilson seized cocaine and marijuana following a traffic stop made by a Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputy, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office states.

Wilson has charged Shannon Maurice Davidson, 26, of 633 4th St., Gaffney, with trafficking more than 10 grams but less than 28 grams of cocaine and 2nd or subsequent offense possession of marijuana. Billy Tate, 38, of 608 4th St., Gaffney, is charged with trafficking more than 10 grams but less than 28 grams of cocaine and possession of marijuana.

Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Daniel Ward stopped Davidson’s vehicle at 2nd Avenue and 5th Street at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday, the report states. He requested Wilson respond to the location because Ward knew Tate had a bench warrant, the report states.

Police said they found two brown bags, one containing less than 5 grams of marijuana and the other with less than 15 grams of cocaine.

At 8:30 p.m. Thursday, narcotics agents raided a home at 204 Brookwood Drive, Gaffney, a separate report at the sheriff’s office states.

Agent Mike Gibson charged Chris Lee Cantrell, 19, of that address with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of Alproxolam (Xanax). Tonya Michelle Couch, 27, also of that address, has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of Alproxolam (Xanax).
