Campbell, Teague homer to rally Sanders Bros. to win

Trailing 13-11 in the last inning, Rebecca Campbell and Devin Teague hit home runs as Sanders Bros. defeated Hamrick’s.
Zach Bostic and Emmanuel Williams also homered. Klein Millen had a key double.
Isaiah Anderson, Caleb Byars and Quan Allen all had pivotal defensive gems.

M Brown 7
Zach Wood, Camron, Luke Morgan, Jackson Propst, Donovan Davis and Clayton Patton had hits on all 23 of their at-bats to lead the American Community Bank offensive attack.
A&E Engineering 13, Trans Med 1
A great defensive effort and all-around team effort led A & E Engineering to the win.

Hamrick’s won by forfeit.
Hamrick’s 16, Burger King 15
Hamrick’s rallied from a 12-7 deficit at the end of the fourth inning to win. Colby Crow knocked in the game-winning runs with his third home run of the game.
Cherokee Landscaping 21, American Community Bank 19
Good base running keyed Cherokee Landscaping’s narrow win.

Farm Bureau 10
Courtney Moss, Alex Raines, Ben Faris and Ethan Willis homered in the win. They were a combined 8 of 12 offensively.
Major League
Elks 15, VFW 5
Matt Gault hit safely with a home run, three triples and an intentional walk. He also pitched the entire game for the Elks.
Matt’s nickname is “Rock.”
Classic Windows 11, Wachovia 3
Luke Lester struck out six in two innings. Dillon Spencer struck out eigtht and allowed a run in four innings.
Spencer had a triple. Quinton Smiley pitched well, striking out four. Andrew Martin, Smiley and Ethan Crawford all had hits for Classic Windows.
Hamrick Mills 5, Springfield 3
Dewayne Rollins pitched four innings with five strikeouts. Jared Mills came in the fifth inning and had four strikeouts.
Jared Mills had a hit and scored two runs. Richie Williams and Davis Albert also had hits.
The coaches said the whole team played well.
Elk's 9, Byars Used Cars 8
With the game tied in the bottom of the inning, Jake Turner laid down a bunt with two outs to score Jessica Ramsey from third for the winning run.
"Our team was down 8-1 after the second," coach Kevin Ramsey said. "We never gave up and won the game, 9-8."
Adam Hartzog, James Ham and Jake Turner played well offensively. Quinshad Davis picked up the win after relieving starter Chevy Hartzog.
Elks 15, VFW 5
Matt Gault hit a 3-run homer and allowed two hits in six innings. Adam and Chevy Hartzog, Jessica Ramsey, James Ham and Jake Turner also had hits.
“Our bats showed up behind a solid defensive outing in the field,” coach Kevin Ramsey said.
Elks 15, First Piedmont 0
Jessica Ramsey pitched a one hitter.
Ramsey, Dylan Mode, Matt Gault, Adam Hartzog, and Raphael Ramos were the top hitters. Hartzog was the defensive standout.
VFW 10, Hamrick’s 3
Brandon Wright pitched six strong innings.
Mike Wood was 3 for 4, Grayson Goforth was 2 for 3, and Wookie Littlejohn was 2 for 4 with a triple.
Nolan Cobb and Drayton Queen made outstanding defensive plays.

Byars Used Cars 6
Luke Lester pitched three innings, striking out six. Quinton Smiley also struck out six in three innings of work.
Jordan Ivey tripled and singled while Clay McKowen and Jordan Portillo doubled and Dillon Spencer and Ethan Crawford both had three hits.
Lester and Andrew Martin also hit safely.
