Alicia Dawn Perry and Lucas Davis McDaniel were united in marriage on Feb. 26, 2005, in a candlelight double ring ceremony at The Chapel in the Glades in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Vows were spoken at 6 p.m. before a background of candelabras.
The bride is the daughter of David and Deborah Perry of Gaffney and the groom is the son of Ronnie and Janice McDaniel of Blacksburg.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown by Vera Wang. The strapless matte satin gown featured a beaded chapel-length train. She carried a cascade bouquet of calla lilies and baby’s breath.
Lisa Brown of Gaffney attended the bride as maid of honor. Elizabeth and Lainie McDaniel of Blacksburg were flower girls.
The groom was attended by his father as best man.
Following the ceremony, a candlelight dinner reception was given by David and Deborah Perry at the Smoky Mountain Lodge. A musical ensemble provided entertainment during the evening.
On the night before the wedding, a dinner was given by Mr. McDaniel’s parents at the Peddler Steakhouse in Gatlinburg.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Gaffney.

Prior to the wedding, several showers were given in honor of the couple.
Nancy Watts, Billie Lawson and Janice McDaniel were hostesses for a miscellaneous shower at the home of Deborah Perry in January.
In February, a miscellaneous shower was given by Dale McAbee and Deidra Hummel at the home of Dale McAbee. Close relatives of the Perry family were invited.
A brunch was given in honor of Miss Perry by Judy and Caroline Hamrick at the Hamrick home. The bride-to-be was showered with gifts from close friends and family.
