RELAY FOR LIFE LUMINARIES — Hundreds of people came together to support this year’s American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life this weekend in Gaffney. Participants walked the Timken track from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday. Homemade ice cream and steamed peanuts were available for purchase and silent auctions were also held, all as fundraisers for the event. According to event organizers, 159 survivors took part in a Survivors Lap honoring those who have battled the deadly disease and survived.
