Hunsinger – Woodard vows exchanged June 4

Mrs. Jason Cleon Woodard (the former Kristina Reneé Hunsinger) Kristina Reneé Hunsinger of Elon, N.C., and Jason Cleon Woodard of Raleigh, N.C., exchanged marriage vows on Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Grove Park Baptist Church in Burlington, N.C. Dr. Edward Eugene Hunsinger officiated the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony.

A reception followed at Alamance Country Club.

Music was provided by Jeff Porterfield, organist; Mrs. David McMillan, pianist; Joel Marshall, trumpeter; and Caroline Ramseur Tyndell, vocalist.

Mr. and Mrs. Woodard will make their home in Raleigh after a wedding trip to St. Lucia.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Edward Eugene Hunsinger of Elon and granddaughter of Evelyn Vinesett Thomas of Gaffney, the late Clyde Pickney Thomas Sr. and the late Evie Hunsinger. A graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh, she is a second grade teacher with Wake County Public Schools.

Mr. Woodard is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Cleon Woodard and Beverly A. Wells of Wilson, N.C. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a private banker with Suntrust Bank in Raleigh.

Given in marriage by Charles Scott Harkey, the bride was attended by Dr. Kristen Elizabeth Rogers of Wilmington, N.C., as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Harris Garwood, Mary Bryce Moore Dubose, Dr. Porter Kelling Peterson and Meredith Lovelace Swindell.

Lauren Elizabeth Hunsinger, niece of the bride, was flower girl and Bryan Scott Hunsigner, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The groom was attended by his father as best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Srinivas Boppana, David Scott Hunsinger, Matthew Kleih and George H. Yerger.
