Gaffney High running back/linebacker Trevon Greene (center) signed a letter of intent Monday with William Penn University in Iowa. He is pictured with his father Virgil Dawkins; Tiarah Dawkins, niece; Gaffney High football coach Phil Strickland; his mother Lesline Dawkinsr; and Demia Dawkins, niece. Greene will join former Indians quarterback Kentrell Jones and A.J. Littlejohn at William Penn University. Greene, who is projected to play free safety in college, rushed for 466 yards and scored seven touchdowns as a senior last season.
