Peach Festival parade is Saturday
The South Carolina Peach Festival parade organizers are asking parade participants to begin lining up Saturday at 8 a.m.
Instead of unit numbers, each unit is listed in a particular group. All units in Group 1 will line up on Limestone Street starting at the corner of Union Street. Units in Group 2 will line up on Union Street entering from Petty Street. All other Groups/units will line up on Limestone Street starting at Thompson Park and going back to Corry Street.
Some of the members of the Amateur Radio Emergency Service and the Community Emergency Response Team have volunteered to help with the parade. Please be obedient and follow their instruction. Groups 1 and 2 should be in place by 8:15; Group 3 by 8:30; Group 4 by 8:45 and Group 5 and above by 9:00.
The South Carolina Peach Festival Board of Directors will not be responsible for any injuries which may occur from parade participants throwing candy from moving vehicles.
