DRIVER IN SERIOUS CONDITION

A Shelby, N.C., man was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after he was ejected from his 1990 Ford at approximately 1 p.m. Friday. Matthew Todd Watson, 28, remained in serious condition at the hospital on Sunday. Watson was traveling too fast for conditions on Watterson Road in Antioch when he lost control of his northbound vehicle, struck a fence and overturned in a field about four miles north of Blacksburg, said Capt. Karl McClary of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
