The negotiations between Prime Outlets at Gaffney and American Family Entertainment Center (AFEC)-Southeast are complete except for a few details.

A source familiar with the negotiations said the two sides need to work out particulars on the site plan, such as cross-easements, entranceways and exits to the proposed entertainment center.

“It’s very close to being worked out,” the source said.

In late June, AFEC-Southeast President Dave Kowert said he hoped to break ground in late August on the multimillion dollar entertainment complex at a site adjacent to Prime Outlets at Gaffney.

Kowert failed to return a message left for him Friday.

The 60,000-square-foot, $6.8 million entertainment center will feature eight state-of-the-art stadiumseating movie theaters, which range from 80 to 244 seats each. Stadium seating features tiered seats designed to give everyone a clear view of the screen.

The center also includes a 16-lane bowling alley, children and adult arcades, a food court and a sports bar. The bowling alley can be expanded to 24 lanes.

The center will employ 10-12 fulltime workers and as many as 28 part-time employees.

Prime Retail agreed to sell a portion of their land to AFEC last spring. The entertainment center is
