Third cadet dies

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A third cadet from The Citadel has died from injuries suffered in a wreck on Interstate 95 a week ago.

Blake Alexander Campbell, 19, died early Saturday, a week after he was thrown from a sport utility vehicle after it blew a tire and flipped over in Dorchester County, authorities said.

Two other cadets, 19-year-old Brett Mitchell Warren and 18year-old Clarke Gibert Russell also died in the wreck.

The three teens from Simpsonville were on their way to watch The Citadel’s football team play at Florida State when the vehicle flipped several times before coming to rest on the highway’s median, authorities said.
