 ANOTHER WIN — The Old Timers kept their record perfect in beating the Juniors 21 1/2 to 18 1/2 in the 2005 Cherokee Cup played Saturday, Sept. 10 at Cherokee National Golf Club. The event pits Cherokee National junior golfers against adult members in a 27-hole Ryder cup format. The Old Timers won the alternate shot matches opening 9-holes 5 1/2 to 4 1/2. They increased the lead to two points in winning the fourball matches 5 1/2 to 4 1/2. In the 20 singles matches, the Old Timers prevailed in winning 10 1/2 to 8 1/2. Participating for the Juniors were: Paul Butler, Gage Clary, Brandon Coggins, Todd Coggins, Will Coggins, Josh Gallman, Charles Hamrick III, Matthew Hopper, Patrick Hopper, Andy Karns, Grayson Oliver, Jody Martin, Brandon Moore, Kyle Parker, Matthew Phillips, Ryder Coyle, Preston Thomas, Jacob Waters, Daniel Whisenant and, Cayci Ruppe.
