Starbucks submits floor plan for approval

By LARRY HILLIARD Ledger Staff Writer larry@gaffneyledger.com

Plans to construct a 2,000square-foot Starbucks store are under review by city officials.

The site and building plans show the Starbucks will front Lemmons Lane. The building plans also include a picnic area and patio.

If the plans are approved, construction could begin as early as next month.

Standard Group, of Miami, Fla., is the project developer.

Earlier this month, Gaffney City Council approved final reading of an ordinance to annex the property.

The parcel was owned by James E. McCurry of Charlotte, N.C.

A Starbucks representative made an initial visit to the Hwy. 105 area in April.
