POLICE REPORT Man faces drug charge A 20-year-old Gaffney man was arrested earlier this month after police said they saw him throw a bag of marijuana and a hand-rolled marijuana cigar on the ground, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office states. The Cherokee County Metro Narcotics Unit has charged Christopher Lee Cantrell, of 204 Brookwood Drive, with 2nd-offense possession of marijuana. The incident occurred at 9:45 p.m. Sept. 7 on Emerson Road, the report states. Six other Gaffney individuals, ages 17 to 20, were arrested on first-offense simple possession of marijuana charges. 24-year-old man arrested Friday A local man faces a drug charge according to a report at the Gaffney Police Department. Officer Jamie Kennington has charged Steven W. Littlejohn, 24, of 599 Goucher School Road, Gaffney, with possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Littlejohn was arrested Friday at Montgomery and South Oliver streets. Sheriff’s deputies investigate burglary Deputies are investigating the burglary of a Gaffney business Sunday, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office states. Someone broke into the Country General Store, 1304 Boiling Springs Hwy., Gaffney, between 5:15 p.m. Sunday and 5:15 a.m. Monday, the report states. Approximately $200 damage was done to a glass door. The burglar(s) also damaged video games in the store by breaking into the coin boxes on the machines. The Big Buck Hunter, The Talon and Max video games sustained $1,000 in damage, according to the report. The cash register was also opened before the intruder(s) left out the back door, police said. |
