A.J. Littlejohn, who played on the Indians’ 2003 state title team, has rushed for 144 yards on just 18 carries in four games for William Penn. His William Penn teammate, Kentrell Jones, a member of the 1997 Gaffney High state champs, has thrown for 823 yards and six touchdowns this season. South Carolina redshirt freshman Sidney Rice, who led the Indians to the 2003 title, had five catches for 91 yards in the Gamecocks’ win over Troy last Saturday. Former GHS assistant football coach Michael Mayer has been honored as Coach of the Week by the Carolina Panthers. Mayer has guided Indian Land to a top-five ranking and a 5-0 record this season. Mayer and the other coach of the week recipients will be honored at halftime of the Carolina Panthers’ game on Dec. 11. The Limestone women’s golf team captured the St. Andrews Fall Invitational Golf Tournament on Tuesday. Limestone’s Jen McLean carded an 83-80 163 to finish second overall.
