50 voices form Singing Tree at Blacksburg First Baptist

BLACKSBURG – Blacksburg First Baptist Church will present its 15th annual Singing Christmas Tree on Friday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 18, at 3 p.m.; and Monday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m.

Joining the First Baptist choir are singers from Midway Baptist, Cherokee Avenue Baptist, Gaffney First Baptist, Buffalo Baptist, Nazareth Baptist, Rock Springs Baptist, New Beginnings Church of God, Kirby Memorial Baptist, Freedom Fellowship Baptist, and St. Luke No. 1 Baptist. In addition to the 50 singers, 60 actors are included in the drama.

The story of Christ from the manager to the resurrection will be told as seen through the eyes of His mother, Mary. Familiar carols will be sung by the children’s choir, by Higher Praise and by the Master’s Quartet.

The Rev. Rick Douglas, pastor, and Linda Meetze, music director, invite the public to attend.
