School evacuated after bomb threat

Gaffney Middle School students were evacuated at 1:22 p.m. Monday after someone called 9-1-1 and said a bomb was in the school, a report at the Gaffney Police Department states.

Police cleared the building and the students were allowed to return to class. The caller, who used a cell phone, said the middle school was going to be blown up, according to the report. A student told authorities that another individual told him about a week ago that he might call in a bomb threat.
