Gaffney High School now has state championship clothing on sale, and DVDs from the Indians’ comeback win over Summerville are on their way.

T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts will be on sale from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. each school day. A sales table will be located inside Gaffney High School.

The school will soon have DVDs available so football fans can relive Gaffney’s thrilling 33-32 victory over Summerville for the Big 16 state championship. The DVDs were done by 2M Media Inc. The Gaffney-Summerville game includes play by play, coaches interviews, the trophy presentation, and graphics showing the names of players.

Proceeds from the sale of DVDs and state championship merchandise will be used by Gaffney High School to help with the cost of providing rings for the football players.

Prime Outlets Gaffney will host Gaffney Indian Day on Thursday, Dec. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7. The football team and coaches will be available for autographs. An autographed Gaffney Indian helmet will be showcased for a silent auction, with the proceeds to be donated to help with the purchase of the championship rings.

The first 1,000 fans will receive a complimentary autograph card with a team photo.

Blacksburg will hold its football and Hallf of Fame banquet on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at the high school auditorium. The banquet will begin at 6 p.m. A ticket is $5.

Ashley Holland scored 13 points and Lakya Rice added 10 to lead the Byrnes Lady Rebels to a 48-40 win over Gaffney on Tuesday.

Breanna Watkins scored 16 points to pace the Lady Indians, who trailed 21-20 at the half.

Indian Land topped the Blacksburg girls’ basketball team, 84-33, on Tuesday.
