Miss Ivy Calendar Girl 2005 crowned

Marsia Anteriqua Davis was crowned the 2005 Miss Ivy Calendar Girl by the Lambda Rho Omegao Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Lambda Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority recently sponsored its 20th Miss Ivy Calendar Girl contest. Contestants entertained the audience with various talents, including clarinet solos, singing and dancing. The evening ended with the crowning of the 2005 Miss Ivy Calendar Girl, Marsia Anteriqua Davis, daughter of Zsa Zsa Smith and Marvin Davis. Miss Davis was escorted by Joey Copeland Jr. and sponsored by Ola Copeland.

First runner-up was Brishawna Sharae Stewart, daughter of Tiffany R. Thomas and Jimmy Stewart Jr. She was escorted by Bryan Littlejohn and sponsored by Laurichard Rainey.

Second runner-up was Zapporyia Queon Frencheall Belk, daughter of Forsheka Belk and Bradley Haney. She was escorted by Quayshun Austin and sponsored by Bertha Harris.

Third runner-up was Moneshae Browning, daughter of Etan and Cheryl Floyd. She was escorted by Brandon Browning and sponsored by Rachel Edwards.

A scholarship is given to a graduating senior girl from Gaffney and Blacksburg high schools who plan to attend college. The sorority donates to the senior citizens, NAACP, and other national and local charities. Other members of the group are Marva Campbell, Cathy Curry, Rachel Edwards, Chandra Guillory, Gwen Hemphill, Bobbie Jefferies, Leota Littlejohn, Cheryll Smith (president), Blanche Talley, Barikia Tate and Brenda Tate.
