Nominations sought for Hall of Bravery

American Legion Post 109 is now accepting nominations for the Hall of Bravery.

Commander Joe M. Sparks said the intent is to keep before the public the image of our county’s brave veterans and their achievements.

“It is easy to forget what our veterans have accomplished to provide our freedom,” Sparks said. “Therefore, we emphasize the faithful service of our veterans by recognizing a selected few each year at the memorial service, which this year will be held May 29 at 10:30 a.m.”

The deadline for submitting nominations is April 3. Nominations must have supporting documents of the nominee’s achievements and may be mailed to: Hall of Bravery Committee, P.O. Box 8001, Gaffney, SC 29342.
