Diabetes classes offered in March; support group plans ‘game night’

Upstate Carolina Medical Center will host diabetes classes on Wednesdays, March 8 and 22, starting at 9 a.m. To attend, call Kelly Morris, R.N., diabetes education coordinator, at 487-1652.

Also, it’s game night for the Cherokee County diabetes support group on Monday, March 6.

To learn more about the new food guide pyramid, members will plan diabeticfriendly meals by playing Diabetes BINGO. People with diabetes and people who care for others with this disease are encouraged to come join the fun. You might even win a prize. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the hospital’s cafeteria. Registration is not required. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, call Morris, at the previously listed number.
