Threadgill – Hoffman couple exchange vows

MR. AND MRS. NATHAN SHEA HOFFMAN MR. AND MRS. NATHAN SHEA HOFFMAN Tanya Ann Threadgill and Nathan Shea Hoffman were married Sept. 23, 2005, in an outdoor garden wedding at the home of the bride’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cazel, 209 S. Johnson St. The Rev. Roger Lindler officiated the 7 p.m. double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Marcia Melton of Gaffney and granddaughter of Jolene S. Setliff and James Thomas Stepp. A 1991 graduate of Gaffney Senior High School, she graduated from Advance Beauty College in 1992 and is employed by Mane Designs Hair Studio.

The groom is the son of Oscar and Dona Hoffman. A 1993 graduate of Gaffney Senior High School, he is employed by UPS.

Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman are making their home at 113 Cabin Creek Road after a wedding trip to St. Martin, Netherland Antilles.

The mothers of the bride and groom entered to “In My Daughter’s Eyes,” sung by the bride’s cousin, Mollie Torres. The bride arrived by horse and buggy as “You Raise Me Up” was sung by her uncle, Bob Torres. Eli Latto played the viola and Kathy Phillips played the piano.

The garden was decorated with white hydrangea, pink roses and asparagus fern. The trees surrounding the garden were adorned with hanging candles and outdoor lights.

The bride was escorted to the front steps by her father where the groom’s son, Dawson Hoffman, escorted her to the groom at the front entrance of the home.

Tammy Melton Hodges attended her sister as matron of honor and the groom was attended by his father as best man.

The groom’s son, Dawson Hoffman; the bride’s nephew, Gavin Hodges; and the bride’s cousins, Dylan Stepp, Samantha Stepp, Jaden Stepp, Hasten Mullinax, Heath Mullinax, J.T. Cazel and Lily Cazel, preceded the bride to an upbeat rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” They all were barefoot, blowing bubbles and wearing shades of pink.

Programs were distributed by Chrysa Mullinax, cousin of the bride, and Tabitha Satterfield and Danielle Satterfield, nieces of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was given by the bride’s parents in the garden at Mr. and Mrs. Cazel’s historic home.
