Williams announces intentions to run as a Republican candidate for Cherokee County Treasurer

Jackie Williams Jackie Williams has announced her intention to seek the Republican nomination for treasurer. She is currently the deputy treasurer a position she has held since 1995.

“I work directly with current treasurer, Edith Gardner, and know the tremendous responsibility of the office.”

Williams attended Cherokee County schools and Limestone College. She lives in the Grassy Pond community with her husband, Allen, who is employed with the Timken Company.

She has two daughters and one granddaughter.

“I am a qualified candidate for this office based on my experience and knowledge of the operations of the treasurer’s office,” she said. “I will consider it an honor to serve the people of Cherokee County as their next county treasurer. I seek your support as I undertake this endeavor.”
