Blue Hose edge Limestone, 8-7

Nick Hoffner came through in the clutch, singling home the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth as Presbyterian nipped the visiting Limestone Saints, 8-7, on Tuesday.

Limestone’s Taylor Cook doubled home Joey Asis to tie the game at 7 in the top of the ninth. Matt Reel hit a two-run homer to put the Saints on top 6-5 in the seventh.

But the Blue Hose answered with two runs in the eighth.
