Kandi Batchler and Andrew Hughes Kandi Batchler of Gaffney and Andrew Hughes of El Paso, Texas, will be married on May 6 at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Miss Batchler is the daughter of John and Terri Dorshimer of Gaffney and the late Drayton Edward Batchle. Her grandmother is Sybil McCraw of Blacksburg. A 2005 graduate of Blacksburg High School, she is a student at Spartanburg Technical College and works as a cashier at Ingles.

Mr. Hughes is the son of Ronnie and Barbara Parker and Charles and Sherry Hghes of Rutherford County, N.C. His grandparents are Charles and Sarah Hughes and Lavada Walls, all of Rutherford County, and the late Calvin Blanton. A 2003 graduate of Chase High School, he serves in the U.S. Army, working in Communication Systems Networking.
