Meetings
¦ The Gaffney Band Booster Club will meet today at 7 p.m. in the GHS band room. All band parents and students are urged to attend. The meeting is very important as nominations for officers will take place.
¦ Democratic Women will meet today at 6 p.m. at House of Pizza. Rick Burgess, Democratic candidate for Cherokee County sheriff, will speak.
Community events
¦ A jewelry class will be held Tuesday, March 7, at 5 p.m. at the Gaffney Senior Center. Participants will learn to make earrings. The class costs $5 plus a small charge for supplies. Call Joan Wood, 487-2725, to register and for more information.
Concerts
¦ The Arts Council will present the Giannini Brass in concert on Tuesday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium at Limestone College. Admission is by season membership or individual tickets may be purchased at the door for $15.
¦ The Cherokee County alumni chapter of Limestone College will hold its eighth annual Limestone Luncheon on Thursday, March 9, in the Life Center at Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Takeouts will be available as well as seated dining. Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased until Wednesday, March 8, from Limestone alumni, the college's advancement office and Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. The luncheon is held by the alumni as a fundraiser to benefit Limestone College projects.
