St. Paul's honors Rev. Linder for 27 years of service
Rev. Roger Lindler and his wife, Melba, are pictured with their children, Amy, of Charlotte and Kevin, of Atlanta. St. Paul's Lutheran Church honored Pastor and Mrs. Roger Lindler for their 27 years of service to the church and community with a catered luncheon at Cherokee National Golf Club on Sunday, Feb. 19.
Pastor Lindler officially retired last July due to his diagnosis with a brain tumor and subsequent surgery and continuing chemotherapy treatment. Pastor Lindler has served on the DSN Board, PEACHCenter Board and president of the Greater Gaffney Ministerial Association several times.
The Rev. James Bucky Brown is now the full-time interim pastor at St. Paul's.
Those attending the luncheon at Cherokee National Golf Club were treated to a delicious buffet meal. Mike Melton chats with Terry and Mike Dennis, long-time members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. |
