Hickory Grove Fire Department sponsoring tractor show, hash and barbecue sale April HICKORY GROVE - The Hickory Grove Volunteer Fire Department is entering its 54th year of fire service for York County. There are 26 dedicated volunteers who devote many hours of personal time to the community. They realize that without the continued support from their family, friends and citizens of the community it would not be possible to volunteer for the fire service. The fire department will hold its annual tractor show and hash and barbecue sale on Saturday, April 1, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Activities will be at the Hickory Grove park/ballfield on Wylie Avenue. Visitors can view antique tractors, tools and equipment while enjoying delicious food. There will be a bake sale along with sausage biscuits and coffee, hamburgers, hot dogs, boiled peanuts and drinks. Hash is $5 a pint or $10 a quart and barbecue is $6 a pint. Proceeds go to the fire department. The Hickory Grove/Sharon School Relay for Life team will be sponsoring a big yard sale during the event. Booths can be rented for $10, with booth rental fees going to the American Cancer Society. Call Beth Dover, 864-684-7135, for more details on the yard sale. Entertainment will be provided by the Hudson Family. At noon, there will be an auction of new items donated by area businesses. For more information, call 864-925-2626 or 864925-3131. |
