Special events

"U Set Me Up," a dramatic and funny musical gospel play, will come to life at the Granard Middle School Auditorium on Saturday, April 1. Advance tickets are $20 and tickets at the door are $25. For tickets or for more information, call 864-425-3998 or 4899436.

Fund raisers

Blacksburg ARP Church, 108 S. Chester St., Blacksburg, will have a yard sale Saturday from 7 a.m until noon. There will be sausage biscuits, $1; jelly biscuits, 50 cents; and free coffee. Proceeds will go to the church youths.

Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle, 621 Fourth Street, will have a benefit singing and bake sale. The hot dog sale will start at 11 a.m. and last throughout the day. A singing will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Hot dog plates are $5 and include two hot dogs, baked beans, slaw and dessert. Drinks will be available.

Church events

The Senior Choir of Friendship Baptist Church, 250 Morning Drive, Spartanburg, will hold its 56th anniversary celebration Sunday, April 2, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Charles H. Davis, pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenville, will be the guest speaker.

Limestone Missionary Baptist Church will have its first annual Women's Conference on Saturday, April 1, from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Registration is $10.

Spring revival services will be held April 3-5 at 7 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. Guest evangelists are: Monday, Rev. Terry King, pastor of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Greenville; Tuesday, Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr., pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, Gaffney, and Island Creek Baptist Church, Cowpens; and Wednesday, Rev. Terry Brown, pastor, Center Rabun Baptist Church.

The J.W. Sanders Gospel Chorus of Island Creek Baptist Church, 2112 Battleground Road, Cowpens, will celebrate its anniversary on Sunday, April 2, at 4 p.m. Dr. C. Dennis Rector, along with his choirs and congregation of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Cowpens, will be special guests.
