Sheriff seeking information on missing man

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating a man who has been missing since March 4.

The family of Donnie Edward Pennington, 42, of 2211 Old Georgia Hwy. last saw him March 4 when he left his home to visit a friend. He es tall and weighs approximately 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, a dark-colored T-shirt with a pocket, a camouflage jacket and brown boots, said his wife, Theresa Pennington.

(864) 489-CRIME. began walking toward Cowpens on Highway 29 where the highway converges to two lanes from four.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office recently used a helicopter to search an area along Highway 29 where the man was last seen and deputies searched along a wooded area near that location.

Pennington is 6 feet, 2 inch
