Byrice Harris Sr., 50, of 109 Craigwood Apartments, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at 6:45 a.m. at his residence.

A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late Grace Jackson Harris and was reared by his foster mother, the late Marie Ross, and a foster brother, Robert Foster, of Gaffney. He was a 1975 graduate of Gaffney High School and was last employed by Core Material.

Surviving are a daughter, Tiawana Harris of Gaffney; two sons, Byrice Harris Jr. and Avery Harris of Gaffney; two sisters, Myrtle Prayter and Eva Ann Young of Spartanburg; two brothers, Boyce Harris of Spartanburg and Dock Copeland of Columbia; and two grandchildren, Makayla Harris and Bryson Harris.

Services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Michael A. Bridges. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Steve Rainey, Harold Houey, Ed Davidson, Corey McCluney, Travis Manning, Marvin Littlejohn, Tony Whittenburg, Chris Adams and Lamar Smith.

Flower bearers will be Sara Ann Leach, Mildred McCluney, Millie Sue Shippy, Ann Peeler, Crystal Shippy, Tabula Tate, Sara Byers and Elaine Watts.
