Charles Robbins
Retired textile employee
Charles Edward Robbins, 72, of 257 Teague Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2006, at his residence.
A native of Gaffney, he was the husband of Evelyn Patterson Robbins and son of the late Sidney Robbins Sr. and
Nica Robbins. He was a retired textile
employee and member
of Lighthouse Baptist Church of Blacksburg. Mr. Robbins was a U.A. Army veteran.
Also surviving are a son, Michael Robbins and his wife, Tina, of Blacksburg; three daughters, Nancy Byars and her husband, Joe, of Gaffney, Rachael Stroupe of Ridgemont, N.C., and Carol Ellison of Gaffney; five brothers, Roger Robbins of Blacksburg, Sidney Robbins Jr., Harold Robbins, Robert Robbins and Gary Sarratt all of Gaffney; two sisters, Louise Fortner of Pacolet and Jeanette Duska of Columbia; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1612 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
The family is at the residence.
