The Saints scored two goals within the game's first 60 seconds but Wingate finally got revved up to post a 16-11 win at Saints Field.

Chris Manwaring had a gamehigh five goals, including a goal with :15 left in the first half that put the Bulldogs up 6-5.

Wingate outscored the Saints, 10-6, in the second half.

Harley Beekman sparked the Saints early, controlling the faceoff and scoring just six seconds into the game. Ryan Verrilli then made it 2-0 with 14:09 left in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs scored the next three goals to take a 3-2 lead before the Saints answered on goals by Beekman and Verrilli.

Brad Patridge extended the Saints' lead to 5-3, but the Bulldogs regained the momentum by scoring the last three goals of the half.

Kyle Costello and Stephen Torkington each had three goals for the Bulldogs, while Dan Leber, John Martin, Bryan Safarik and Ryan Otterblad each had one.

Mike MacLeod, Patridge and Beekman each had two goals for the Saints, who fall to 5-5 overall and 5-2 in the Deep South.
