Former Gaffney resident authors new book Returns home for book signing Saturday

Joy Brown Joy Brown Joy Clary Brown, formerly of Gaffney and currently living in Boone, N.C., has authored a newly released book, The Creation Diet: God's Pattern for Health, Happiness and Holiness (Xulon Press).

Through her book, Mrs. Brown reveals how the order of the days of creation holds the secret to health and wholeness.

Daughter of Mary Clary of Gaffney and the late James A. Clary, she is married to Dr. Wayne Brown, formerly of Blacksburg. They are the parents of two daughters, Meri Beth and Molly.

Mrs. Brown is a graduate of Gaffney High School, Limestone College and Coastal Carolina University. She has taught Language Arts, Deaf Education and Remedial Reading from elementary to college levels. She also has worked as Director of Religious Activities at Limestone College. Presently, she is a women's conference speaker and a member of the women's ministry team, Women by Design.

Mrs. Brown is a contributing writer in The Heart of a Teacher (Bethany House Publishers); Whispering in God's Ear (WaterBrook Press); A Special Blend and Here Comes the Bride of Christ (Women by Design).

Mrs. Brown will be in Gaffney on Saturday, May 13, for a book signing at Carolina Gifts, 605 Ninth St. (just off Cherokee Avenue across from the Colonial Restaurant), from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Virginia Edwards and Glenda Rufty are owners of Carolina Gifts and have copies of the book to purchase ($20) for Mrs. Brown to sign. Proceeds from the sale of the book will help with the expansion of the gospel through Diversified Ministries, a global outreach, administered by the Browns.
